The advent of a new year at Miss Virginia's Food Pantry has brought back more volunteers and with more volunteers — more ideas. This year the pantry has embarked on a building and maintaining a community garden that will hopefully benefit the guests each week as well as members of the community by getting involved. Many kudos go to Paul Gerardot with the St. Henry Community Garden and the Associated Churches for grant money to help subsidize supplies.
In this initial year twelve raised beds have been built and installed on the northern adjacent section of the property. With success and participation this project has literal room to grow.
